Hi there! I’m Demoyé, but you can call me Dee, the baker and owner of Decadent Dee’light.

I’m originally from Georgia but now reside in Maryland. I’m also a proud mother of two amazing children. My absolute favorite thing to do is create whether it’s baking or cooking, it’s something I’ve always loved. My journey into baking began in the kitchen with my dad when I was a little girl. Growing up, I was always in the kitchen, cooking and baking, and anyone who knows me would say I’ve always dreamed of owning a bakery or restaurant. It’s been a lifelong goal!

The feeling I had when I saw people’s excitement as they received and tasted my dad’s cakes was heartwarming. Bringing joy to others is the best feeling ever. To me, it was never just about the cake it represented the love and passion my dad put into it, and I truly believe that’s what made it so special. Now, I’m doing the same thing creating cakes and injecting that same passion and love into every sweet experience.

Baking allows me to dive into my creativity while fulfilling my love for the craft. It’s truly a Win…WIN!

My business really started to take shape in 2017 when I began posting on Instagram and Facebook. I made cakes and treats for my children’s birthdays and for friends. Then, a friend asked me to make a treat table for a baby shower. Without hesitation, I said “Yes!” and thought to myself, “It’s starting…finally!” And from there, the rest is history. I love being a part of the special moments that surround celebrations. I cherish the times spent in the kitchen with my family, and now I’m overjoyed to be part of creating those same moments for others.

While I love how decorative and beautiful cakes and desserts can be, it’s just as important to me that they taste as good as they look. My background in Culinary Arts has equipped me with the tools to ensure that my creations not only look amazing but taste incredible too.
